HOUSTON (September 9, 2002) - Money Management International recently unveiled its plans to announce its formation of the Money Management International Financial Education Foundation (the Foundation) at the 37th Annual National Foundation for Credit Counseling (NFCC) Leader's Conference in Seattle, WA. Leaders in the credit counseling industry and key creditor partners will be in attendance at the conference scheduled for the second week of September.
"With most NFCC agency CEO’s in attendance, I feel that this will be the perfect forum to announce the founding of the Foundation," stated Ivan Hand, Chairman. The Foundation was created and operates to educate the general public on sound personal financial skills and money management principles by developing, delivering, and supporting programs that teach those skills and principles. "I hope that many of the agencies will take advantage of this funding resource and join us in our continuing campaign for financial literacy throughout the nation," added Mr. Hand.
The Foundation is dedicated to improving people’s lives by providing them with quality education programs that teach personal financial skills and money management principles. "By partnering with organizations with similar values, I am confident that we will achieve our mission and make a positive change in the communities where we live and work," concluded Mr. Hand.
In August, the Foundation launched a new website to inform the public of its mission and purpose. This innovative website is designed to allows grant writers to review the Foundation’s guidelines and submit grant applications online. "Online grant applications will allow us to review the applications more quickly and respond appropriately," added Mr. Hand.
